Jabra Elite Earbuds gets a Makeover with 3 New Models: Jabra Elite 3, Elite 7 Active, Elite 7 Pro

In the past, if you wanted to buy a pair of headphones that sounded good and were easy-to-use, you had to compromise on sound quality. Today, that’s no longer the case. Today’s headphones have been designed to be both comfortable and high-quality in every aspect. But how do you know which headphones are right for you? We’ve turned our heads towards a pair of headphones that have been praised by the masses: the Jabra Elite series. These headphones have been introduced in a variety of models with a variety of price points, but they all share a common characteristic: a microphone that comes with a noise-isolation feature.

For the past few years, the Jabra lineup has been known for their over-ear design and sound quality. However, it appears that they’ve had a change of heart, and are releasing a line of earbuds targeted at the on-the-go lifestyle. This week, Jabra announced three new models in their Elite series: the new Jabra Elite 3, Elite 7 Active, and Elite 7 Pro. Let’s check out the new features and specs on these new models.

Jabra Elite 3 and Elite 7 Active The Elite 3 and 7 Active earbuds will be the first products from the company to feature Alexa’s voice assistant. The 3 will have a 32 kHz, 8-bit music player, while the Elite 7 Active will be a little bit more capable, featuring a 32 kHz, 16-bit music player. In addition, both models will have a built-in microphone and a USB Type-C port. The Elite 7 Pro earbuds will have a 32 kHz, 16-bit music player, a microphone, a USB Type-C port, a microSD card slot, a built-in accelerometer and a gyroscope.

It’s no surprise that the Jabra Elite series has been around for a long – and we really liked the Jabra Elite 75t that we reviewed here. That said, the brand releases a new line of earbuds every year, and this year we get to see not only a successor, but a complete overhaul of the lineup for three distinct models known as the Elite 3 by Jabra, Elite 7 Active by Jabra, and Elite 7 Pro by Jabra – ranging from an entry-level model to a “pro-grade” True Wireless Earbuds.

Jabra Elite 7 Pro

The pro, as the name suggests, are their top-of-the-line earbuds that claim to deliver ground-breaking call quality, thanks to Jabra’s new MultiSensor Voice technology. It also has Adjustable ANC, similar to the Active 85t, and offers up to 9 hours of battery life, totaling up to 35 hours with the charging case, which is a lot more than the Active 85t. It utilizes MultiSensor Voice Technology, which is basically a mix of four microphones and a bone conduction sensor that uses algorithms to improve call quality. The design is identical to the 75t and 85t, although it is somewhat smaller than the 75t.

However, the Jabra Elite 7 Pro has a Voice Pick Up sensor, which enables the earbuds to detect noise and wind from outside, allowing the ANC and MultiSensor Voice to function well in any scenario.

Jabra Elite 7 Active

The Active earphones are designed for people who seek the finest headphones for an active lifestyle. So, you name it – it has the greatest fit for fitness, jogging, and so on – thanks to a new ShakeGrip coating that keeps the ear buds in place. Except for one major feature seen on the Elite 7 Pro – MultiSensor Voice Technology – which isn’t something active users would desire but would have been great to have here as well.

Jabra Elite 3

Finally, the Jabra Elite 3 earbuds are a little more expensive (than the Elite 2) addition to the Jabra line of earbuds. This may be the one that the bulk of people are looking for, and although it may lack some of the capabilities of the 7, they didn’t cut corners as much as one would assume. It features Noise Isolation rather than Noise Cancellation, but it does include Transparent mode and Qualcomm aptX HD, which is a fantastic addition considering that none of the earbuds they previously mentioned had any aptX Codec and were restricted to SBC and AAC. The battery life isn’t bad either, clocking in at up to 23 hours with the battery in-case.

One of Jabra’s class-leading features, which will not be available on the Elite 3, but will be available on the Elite 7 Pro and Elite 7 Active, is MultiPoint Pairing technology, which allows users to pair the earbuds with two devices at once to stay connected, and will be available in an update in October.

Availability and Pricing

Consumers will be able to buy the aforementioned models above via Jabra’s official e-stores on Lazada and Shopee in Q4 of 2021, although no particular dates have been announced. Accordingly, the Jabra Elite 7 Pro costs RM 999, the Elite 7 Active costs RM 899, and the Elite 3 costs RM 389.

This time around, there’s a new Jabra Elite, the Jabra Elite 2, which you can learn more about by clicking here.

Earlier this summer, we saw a slew of new headphones and earbuds, with Jabra and Sennheiser both releasing new headphones and earbuds. Most of these new devices were meant to target different people and different types of environments, but many of them looked rather similar. That’s why Jabra has launched three new models of its Elite series, including the aptly named Elite 3, Elite 7 Active, and Elite 7 Pro..
